Winter in Cornwall
Here at Court Farm Holidays we are strong believers that Cornwall is just as exciting in Winter as it is during the Summer months- not only do you get the beaches and views to yourself (even if it is a little more chilly!), you also get to experience Cornwall from a different perspective.
Aside from the vastly different landscapes you can visit: the dramatic hills of Bodmin moor, charming lanes of Padstow, any of the beaches (take your pick!), there are also a lot of exciting things going on across the County that might capture your interest. So we have put together a little guide of some of the events taking place this month…

Monday 13th to Wednesday 15th February 2017 10am to 12pm and 1.30pm to 3.30pmBuild a shelter, learn how to safely light a fire and practice some handy survival skills. This activity has been specially designed by the National Trust and their partner Serious Outdoor Skills to be fun, informative and hands-on. Booking essential. Suitable for children ages 7-15. 13th February, 2017 – 17th February, 2017, Pendennis
Step back in time over 400 years and imagine life in the Tudor fort of Pendennis this half term. Warm yourself by the roaring fire in the castle keep with demonstrations and displays from our Tudor cook, learn about the diet of Pendennis’ Tudor residents and help prepare provisions for the troops, then step outside to try your hand at sword skills and cannon drills.
As well as the many beaches and restaurants in Newquay, you can also visit Newquay Zoo , with the opportunity to participate in animal feeding too!
National Trust Properties…
You really are spoilt for choice for National Trust locations across Cornwall- a few examples include: Pendennis Castle from 13 – 17 Feb it’s Terrific Tudors and a Childrens Garden trail at Lanhydrock house near Bodmin. For the under 5’s the Maritime Museum in Falmouth are running Museum for Minnows every Monday at 11 o’clock with a lively half hour of stories and songs (Free with Museum ticket)
Lost Gardens of Heligan…
