COVID-19 Guest Charter

What we are doing to ensure that you have a great and most importantly safe stay at Court Farm Holidays

Our priority at this time is the safety of guests and our team, which means that while some elements of your holiday will have to change slightly, we know that we can still offer you a great base for a great holiday.

The additional hygiene and social distancing measures we’ll be introducing are outlined below.

Cleaning Procedures

Firstly, we are ensuing that your property will be cleaned and sanitised in line with the COVID-19 Cleaning Guidance issued by the Professional Association of Self Caterers (PASC). This additional housekeeping is going to have a knock-on effect with arrival and departure times which we will confirm with booked guests nearer the time.

Hand sanitiser dispensers are now located in the swimming pool and the entrance to the play area, but we would appreciate you bringing your own small bottle of hand sanitiser to carry at all times for that extra peace of mind.

All bed linen is provided, however due to the increase of cleaning, at least in the early stages of re-opening, we will not be providing bath towels, so politely ask guests to bring their own towels for both Bath and Beach. * If you would prefer to bring your own bedding, please let us know so that we can leave the beds unmade, with just mattress protectors on for you.

Facilities and Activities on Site

Our swimming pool and tennis court will be available to guests staying at Court Farm, Marhamchurch, but on a rota basis – currently 45 mins/cottage.  Guests to book slots once they are here, no pre-booking available.  NB Our changing rooms, toilet and shower cubicles within the Pool enclosure have to remain closed, so guests are advised to change and shower in their accommodation.  Our Games Rooms at Court Farm and Northcott Farmhouse remain closed.

The animals will be available for you to visit in the Animal Field at any time, and we have to be clear that in doing so, including letting the children use our play area, will be at your own risk. 

Communal Areas and Equipment

As many of you know, we usually offer lots of extra gear for guests to borrow but if it cannot be safely cleaned between uses we are sad to say that we can no longer offer it to you (e.g. Toy Boxes, books, games, even bed guards) so please don’t be offended if we ask bring your own – if you have any questions about what falls into this, do drop us an email.

We will be supplying hand soap in all kitchens and bathrooms together with cleaning and anti-viral spray under your sink in your cottages, but suggest that, for your own safety, if you wish to use the tennis court, you bring your own racquets and balls if you have them – the same applies to the hire of our wetsuits and bikes, we still have these for you to hire and the facilities to disinfect them but unfortunately use will, again, be at your own risk.

Out and About

Please refer to our Facilities & Out & About Pages on our website for details of places to visit and activities to do during your stay.   As we see further restrictions relaxed, pubs and restaurants will be able to offer their services to you but requiring advance booking to ensure safe management of visitor numbers. To avoid disappointment please plan ahead and check their individual websites for opening details and how to book. 


Many of our local pubs and cafes are offering takeaway food for pre-order and our Caterer Nicky Vereker will be happy to provide freshly home cooked food to your door, either freshly prepared to pop in the oven or Frozen – we only ask that orders are made before your arrival.

El-Forno Pizzas will be serving their stone baked pizzas from Court Farm every Monday evening from 5-8pm from July to end of August, there is a Curry Van outside The Bullers Arms opposite Court Farm on Wednesday nights and a Fish & Chip Van visits the village of Marhamchurch every Friday night from 5pm – 6pm.

As well as the Super Market deliveries, Our local village shop, is open and there are plenty of options to order local produce, Contact Dan at Land meat sea for Breakfast or Meat Boxes, great for BBQs or roasts,  The Beach House Shop at Widemouth Bay for Freshly caught fish, The Little Pig Farm Shop, Boscastle Farm Shop and local supermarkets all offering home delivery to your cottage but it will be imperative for you to book a slot after you arrive (even next day) so you can unload and store it yourselves.

Check In

We will be sending you instructions to check yourselves into the cottages around one week before arrival, along with the latest advice and guidance for you to get the most out of your stay.  Check in is from 4pm & Departure time is 9.30am 

Guests from areas with local restrictions

Please ensure you are away of the Government’s latest advice on local restrictions  People resident inside an area with local restrictions can go on holiday outside that area, but whilst there, should only socialise indoors with members of there own household or support bubble. 

The ‘Rule of 6’ Restriction

On 9th September the Government announced new restrictions with regards to people not being able to go on Holiday in England with people outside their household (including bubble) in a group larger than 6 people .  For further details, see the Government’s Coronavirus outbreak FAQs website  This obviously has implications for bookings of our larger properties and we are currently getting in touch with anyone affected as their forthcoming holiday approaches.

Reception Hours

We will pretty much always be around.  Vicky will be in reception most days from 9.30 – 11.30 and Kevin lives on site.  We will always have our mobiles on us to happily answer any questions you might have.

What we are asking you to do to help us ensure that you have a safe & enjoyable holiday

The most important thing to remember is the need to keep socially distant of 2 metres to anyone outside your household, which includes us! We know this is difficult for children but please do you best to ensure that they keep a safe distance, and that hands are washed after touching any communal services such as gates, door handles etc.

We would ask that you minimise asking us to enter your cottage during your stay. If, for example, a dishwasher doesn’t work, we can try and sort it out over the phone in the first instance.  If someone does have to come into the property, then we will ask that you let us know when you are going out so that they can come in when the barn is empty. If this is not possible then please explain as much as possible what the problem is and vacate the appropriate room while they are working

Please follow the pool guidelines, vacate your slot in good time ready for the next session.

Be rigorous in the following social distancing when out in public.

 Your Health

If you show any signs of having the virus then you must immediately go and get tested by contacting

The result must be shown to us. If positive, you will need to leave if any Member of your party can drive you. If that is not possible and you have to self-isolate here, then you will be have to pay for all bookings that have to be cancelled as a result.

We will need you to provide, names, telephone numbers and email addresses of everyone in the party, so that we can pass this onto the NHS if it is required. This information will not be used for any other purpose. This must be provided at the point of arrival or before.

We have HMG guidelines that only two households (which can include a bubble) can holiday together in July. We cannot police this and ask therefore that you risk assess your own party and decide for yourself if your group is appropriate.

Remember the best way to stay safe is to regularly wash hands thoroughly.
