Our local National Trust sites are always a great place to visit at any time of year, they offer space to explore with wonderful walks, a playpark in themselves for the children to roam, climb trees, collect sticks, some with scooter or bike-friendly paths (Lanhydrock – which also offers bike hire) even search for Oysters their local Beaches (Trelissick) . Needn’t be expensive either if you don’t want to go into their houses, you can just pay the cost of parking (£3/day) and take your own packed lunch or treat yourselves to some scrumptious food in their cafes. Lanhydrock estate boasts 900 acres of parkland, the perfect opportunity to recharge your batteries. Take in the Victorian swimming pool on our short and circular walk, pick up the pace around the longer Parkland walk or really stretch your legs and follow the Deer walk.

Ancient and atmospheric Tudor house, traditional Christmas Garland in the Great Hall, with garden, woods, quay, mill and estate to explore
Alternatively there is a beautiful woodland walk that you can explore at any time of year, without charge, takes about 1/5 hours around the estate, taking in Trelissick Beach, here you can hunt for scallops, muscles and even Oysters – continuing along the woodland walk, taking in Maritime views along the way.

As well as having over 30,000 chocolate eggs to find, there will be something for all the family to enjoy this Easter – a great selection of rides and attractions, great shows and the Easter bunny will be out and about at intervals throughout the day to meet and greet the children.
Clovelly Village Find the Easter Chicks

Children receive a village map on entry to Clovelly.
This is to mark the location of a number of Easter chicks perched up and down the cobbled High Street to the quay.
If they spot at least 10 chicks they can return the map to the Visitor Centre reception to win an Easter egg.
If they spot all 15 chicks, they will win a bigger prize!
